American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Fort Lauderdale is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Fort Lauderdale follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Omg I was so excited about this place, as soon as I walked through the door everything looked so tempting and delicious that I went crazy with all the paninis and focaccias. The problem was the bad service I received, it took 25 minutes to warm get an eggplant focaccia and a salami panini, but that wasn’t the worst, next to my table I found out I wasn’t alone, there were a COCKROACH and FLIES flying over the paninis. I got sick, I asked for a refund and the guy in charge (I doubt he was a manager because I didn’t manage the situation) told me that there’s no refund and walked away. I WON’T recommend this place to anybody due to its lack of cleaning and service. I attach some pictures about all the HORROR I saw in this disgusting place.

Felt very authentic from the moment we walked inside. Made me feel welcome first at the fresh sandwich counter but we were already full from dinner. We stopped in for a sweet treat tho! Lots of pastries, macarons and the star of the show, Gelato! They had two gluten free options for and were extremely polite when directing to them. We also had a cup of mint Gelato. The shavings of fresh dark chocolate in it were so good! I also tried the dulce de leche! Can’t go wrong honestly! I’d highly recommend this place over the other ice cream shops in this area.

Pan'e Dolci Italian Bakery, what a place. A must-visit for Italian food lovers, but honestly great for everyone. They offer everything you’d expect from a true Italian bakery: amazing espresso, authentic Italian gelato, excellent pasticceria, sweets, and signature baked goods. On top of that, they have pizza, sandwiches, focaccias, and antipasti, all done with quality ingredients and real flavor. It’s the kind of spot where you can stop just for a coffee or end up staying much longer enjoying the food. Perfect for both food and coffee lovers.

Decent Italian sandwich spot. I tried the prosciutto sandwich and it was good! fresh ingredients and solid flavor overall. The place itself is nice and has a pleasant, relaxed vibe. That said, the service could definitely be better. It felt a bit slow and not very attentive, which took away from the experience. With improved service, this place could be much better.

Amazing and authentic! We loved it. It is between and Italian restaurant and a cigar shop. A bunch of older Italian men were sitting outside, enjoying their Saturday night. We grabbed dessert - a hazelnut Gelato and a tiramisu. There was a huge selection so it was hard to narrow it down. The Gelato was creamy and full of hazelnuts. The tiramisu was light and tasty. I would probably visit this place a bunch if I lived nearby.
